1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing HN Insights, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

HN Insights provides AI-powered summaries and analysis of Hacker News content. We offer:

• Free tier: Basic AI summaries
• Pro tier ($2/month or $20/year): Advanced summaries with web search, bookmarks, saved chats

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate account information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per person
• We reserve the right to suspend/terminate accounts for violations

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Abuse, harass, or harm others
• Scrape or automate requests to our API
• Reverse engineer our service
• Share Pro account credentials
• Use for illegal purposes
• Exceed rate limits or abuse our infrastructure

5. Pro Subscription

• Billed at $2/month or $20/year via Stripe
• Automatically renews unless cancelled
• Cancel anytime (no refunds for partial months)
• Features may change with reasonable notice

6. Intellectual Property

AI-generated summaries are provided "as-is". Hacker News content belongs to original authors. Our application code is MIT licensed (see GitHub repository).

7. Disclaimers

SERVICE PROVIDED "AS IS". We make no warranties about:

• Accuracy of AI-generated summaries
• Availability or uptime guarantees
• Fitness for particular purpose

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Maximum liability limited to amount paid in last 12 months.

9. Termination

We may terminate access for violations. You may close your account anytime. Pro subscriptions can be cancelled via Stripe customer portal.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms with 30 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
